Terms and Conditions
By making a booking with Hair Off The Dog - Dog Grooming, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
- De-Matting / Matting removal: I will only ever attempt de-matting if it is safe to do so. This will be at a cost of $1 per minute. Shaving of matts can be extremely hard and uncomfortable for the dog, also with risks of injury in serious cases. Extra charges will be applied to any matting. This will be based on the severity and time. I will notify you prior to completion of the cost.
- Accidents: In the case of an accident and vet care is required, I will make contact ASAP. If the injury is due to the dogs' behaviour or matting this cost will be with the owner. If for any reason it was the fault of the groomer, I will cover all costs associated.
- Right to Refuse Service: I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason in the event that the dog cannot be groomed safely without danger to the groomer or the dog in my care.
- Photos: Please note that we may use photos or imagery of your dog on our website or social media channels. If you do not wish to have your dog's image used in this way, please let us know.
REMINDERS:
These will be sent automatically via Timely, an email 3 days prior, and a text 24 hours prior.
PAYMENT:
PAYMENT:
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. I do not have EFTPOS. Payment can be
made by either cash, bank deposit or invoice. Late payments will incur an added fee, and
multiple late payments will require prepayment to book again.
APPOINTMENT TIMES:
Please arrive no more than 5 mins before your appointment time and arrive within 30 mins
of the txt to collect your dog. Anything outside of these timeframes is classed as daycare
and as I do not offer daycare due to space, it will incur a significant fee to discourage it from
happening. If you are running late for your appointment, please make contact immediately.
If it gets too late, I will no longer have the time to still do the groom with your dog, yet the
full price will still be due.
TOILET YOUR DOG:
Please toilet your dog outside in the designated area by the tree before coming inside, even
if your dog has just toileted at home! Poo bags and bin are for your use.
CANCELATIONS & NO-SHOWS:
I require MORE than 48 hours notice of any cancellation or rescheduling.
Less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a late cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment price
that was booked for
Less than 24 hours notice, or not turning up for your appointment at all, will require the
entire missed groom price to be paid.
Frequent offenders may be required to pre-pay their grooms TRAINING / INCOMPLETE GROOM:
If your dog is struggling with the grooming process for any reason, I will not force a dog in to
freaking out just to complete a groom so this may mean the actual groom is unable to be
completed, this is for the safety of the dog and myself. The full appointment price will still
be due.
VACCINATIONS:
Vaccinations, Flea and Worm Treatments: It is recommended that all dogs are kept up to date with vaccinations, and flea and worm treatments. Puppies are welcome to attend the salon once they have had two vaccination shots. If fleas are discovered during the groom a flea wash will instantly be added at a cost of $20.
PHOTOS & VIDEOS:
I may take photos and videos of your dog/s and I reserve the right to use these for
promotional and marketing purposes on my website, social media, or other advertising
material. If you have concerns about the use of this media, please contact me in writing.
IN AN EMERGENCY:
IN AN EMERGENCY :
In case of a medical emergency, you give full authorisation for me to seek medical care for
your dog at your expense.
We will endeavour to use your own Veterinarian, but in cases of urgency, we will use the
practice we usually deal with.
